Andre Iguodala: ‘Steph Curry lives exactly the lifestyle he says he’s about’
Warriors forward says teammate holds himself accountable for everything both on and off the court
Iguodala says Curry's authentic lifestyle helps the team stay grounded despite success
Andre Iguodala has witnessed Stephen Curry's rise to superstardom firsthand since joining the Warriors in 2013. And, he says, despite all his accomplishments, Curry remains the same humble and hardworking player he was when he entered the league.
"He lives exactly the lifestyle he says he's about," Iguodala said of Curry. "He's not just saying it for the cameras. He's not just saying it for the fans. He's not just saying it for his teammates. He's living it."
Curry is widely recognized as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. He has led the Warriors to four NBA championships and was named MVP twice. But, according to Iguodala, Curry's success is not just due to his talent on the court.
"He's a great leader," Iguodala said. "He holds himself accountable for everything, both on and off the court. He's always trying to improve, and he's always willing to help his teammates."
Iguodala says Curry's genuine and authentic lifestyle is a major reason why the Warriors have been so successful over the past decade.
"He's a great role model for our team," Iguodala said. "He shows us that it's possible to be successful without compromising your values."
Curry's commitment to living a healthy lifestyle is also evident in his diet and workout regimen. He is known for eating a plant-based diet and working out regularly.
"He's always taking care of his body," Iguodala said. "He knows that in order to be the best player he can be, he has to be in peak physical condition."
Curry's dedication to his craft is also evident in his work ethic. He is known for spending countless hours in the gym practicing his shot.
"He's always working on his game," Iguodala said. "He's always trying to find ways to improve."
Curry's hard work has paid off. He is now one of the most successful and decorated players in NBA history.
"He's a great player," Iguodala said. "But, more importantly, he's a good person."
