Other celebrities and organizations join the fight against childhood poverty
Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization that provides basic necessities to children in poverty, has received a $17 million boost from a group of celebrities and philanthropists. The funds will go towards providing essentials such as diapers, wipes, clothing, and hygiene products to children in need. Ayesha Curry and Ciara Wilson are co-chairing the West Coast portion of the fundraiser, which will take place in Los Angeles on October 27th. Other celebrities involved in the campaign include Kelly Rowland, Jessica Alba, Kerry Washington, and Molly Sims.
Baby2Baby was founded in 2006 by Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein. The organization has since distributed over 250 million items to children in need, and has a network of over 200 partner organizations across the country.
The funds raised by this campaign will help Baby2Baby continue to provide essential items to children in poverty. In addition to the fundraiser, Baby2Baby also accepts donations of new and gently used items. For more information, please visit the Baby2Baby website.
