Mother-of-two claims hotel intruder entered room and approached sleeping children in Turkey

The Mirror brings the latest news on a terrifying ordeal involving a British mother and her two children at a hotel in Turkey.

A British mother has spoken of her terror after claiming an intruder walked into her hotel room in Turkey as her children slept.

Kelly Ede, from Essex, said she was alerted to the man's presence by her nine-year-old daughter's screams at around 4am on July 24.

She claims the man quickly fled the room at the five-star TUI Blue Sarigerme Park hotel in Dalaman, as she shouted at him.

Kelly, 34, told The Sun: "I was woken up by my daughter screaming. I looked up and saw a man standing by her bed, inches from her face."

"I screamed at him to get out and he turned and ran. I jumped out of bed, grabbed my phone and ran after him, but he had disappeared."

Kelly, who was on holiday with her daughter and seven-year-old son, said the incident has left her feeling "violated" and unable to sleep.

She said: "I just don't understand how someone was able to get into our room. We had put the safety chain on the door, but it was broken."

TUI has apologized for the incident and said it is investigating.

A spokesperson for TUI said: "We are aware of an incident that occurred at the TUI Blue Sarigerme Park hotel in Dalaman on July 24.

"The safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority and we are working closely with the hotel to investigate the incident.

"We would like to apologize for any distress this may have caused and we are offering the family our full support."
