The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Brooklyn Nets with a dramatic 126-120 overtime victory in Game 4 on Monday night at the Barclays Center.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and Marcus Smart chipped in with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.
The Nets were led by Kevin Durant, who finished with 39 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Kyrie Irving added 20 points and Ben Simmons had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.
The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than 7 points at any point in regulation.
The Nets took a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics came storming back to tie the game and send it to overtime.
In overtime, the Celtics took control of the game and never trailed.
The Celtics will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 5 on Wednesday night at the TD Garden.
