Dallas Mavericks Defeat Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of Western Conference Finals

Thompson's Return Not Enough for Warriors

Mavericks Take 3-1 Series Lead

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-109 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night, taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

Klay Thompson made his long-awaited return to the Warriors lineup after missing the first three games of the series with an ankle injury. He finished with 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting, but it was not enough to lift the Warriors to victory.

Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. Stephen Curry had 20 points for the Warriors, but he struggled from the field, shooting just 6-of-18.

The Mavericks dominated the first half, taking a 62-47 lead into the break. They extended their lead to 20 points in the third quarter, but the Warriors fought back to cut the deficit to 10 points heading into the fourth quarter.

The Warriors had a chance to tie the game in the final minute, but Curry's three-pointer bounced off the rim. The Mavericks grabbed the rebound and sealed the victory with a pair of free throws.

The Mavericks will have a chance to close out the series in Game 5 on Thursday night in Dallas.
