Flooding From Tropical Storm Closes Madeira Beach City Hall

City Hall To Reopen On Monday, September 20th

Madeira Beach City Hall, located at 300 Municipal Drive, was closed due to severe flooding from Tropical Storm Ian. The storm caused significant damage to the building, including the basement, first floor, and roof. City offices will be temporarily relocated to the Madeira Beach Recreation Center, located at 400 Municipal Drive, until repairs can be made.

Expected Reopening

City Hall is expected to reopen on Monday, September 20th. However, this date is subject to change depending on the extent of the damage and the availability of contractors. The City will provide updates on the repairs and reopening plans as they become available.

Impact On City Services

The closure of City Hall will impact some City services. For example, utility bill payments will need to be made online or by mail. Residents can also sign up for automatic payments to avoid interruptions in service. Other City services, such as code enforcement and police services, will continue to operate as normal.
