Gov. Pillen to Lead State Delegation to Czech Republic and Germany

Governor Jim Pillen will lead a state delegation on a business development trip to the Czech Republic and Germany from June 11-17, 2023.

The delegation will include representatives from state government, economic development organizations, and businesses. The trip will focus on promoting trade and investment between Nebraska and the two European countries.

"This trip is an important opportunity to strengthen our economic ties with the Czech Republic and Germany," Pillen said. "These countries are home to some of the world's leading businesses, and we are excited to explore opportunities for collaboration."

The delegation will meet with government officials, business leaders, and potential investors. They will also visit cultural and historical sites in both countries.

"We are grateful to Governor Pillen for leading this delegation," said Nebraska Department of Economic Development Director Anthony Goins. "His leadership will be invaluable as we work to build relationships and create opportunities for Nebraska businesses."

The trip is being organized by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Czech-American Chamber of Commerce.

"We are excited to welcome Governor Pillen and the Nebraska delegation to the Czech Republic," said Czech-American Chamber of Commerce President Jiri Fusek. "We believe that this trip will be a great opportunity to strengthen the ties between our two countries."

The delegation's itinerary includes stops in Prague, Brno, and Munich. They will meet with representatives from companies such as Skoda Auto, Siemens, and BMW.

"We are confident that this trip will be a success," Pillen said. "We look forward to returning to Nebraska with new ideas and partnerships that will benefit our state."
