Jimmy Butler's Absence Proves Costly for Heat

The Miami Heat suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, falling 108-102 to the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum.

Jimmy Butler, who is averaging 21.4 points per game this season, missed the game with a sprained right ankle. His absence was felt by the Heat, who struggled to generate offense consistently.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 20 points, but he was the only Miami player to score more than 15 points. Tyler Herro added 14 points, while Kyle Lowery and Gabe Vincent each chipped in 13 points.

The Bucks were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 28 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 assists. Khris Middleton added 22 points, and Jrue Holiday had 15 points.

The Heat shot just 41.7% from the field and 29.2% from three-point range. The Bucks, meanwhile, shot 49.1% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.

The Heat also committed 17 turnovers, which led to 20 points for the Bucks.

With the loss, the Heat fell to 3-1 on the season. The Bucks improved to 2-1.

The Heat will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host the Boston Celtics. The Bucks will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.
