Spartans' Big Man Shows Respect for Former Coach After Wolverines' Victory

Dickinson: "Coach Izzo is a Great Coach"

Michigan Wolverines center Hunter Dickinson had nothing but praise for his former coach, Tom Izzo, and the Michigan State Spartans after the Wolverines' 84-72 win over the Spartans on Saturday.

Dickinson, who played for Izzo at Michigan State for two seasons before transferring to Michigan in 2021, said that Izzo is "a great coach" and that he "has a lot of respect" for him.

"He's a Hall of Famer," Dickinson said. "He's done a lot for college basketball. He's a great coach, and I have a lot of respect for him."

Dickinson also said that he was "happy" to see the Spartans playing well this season.

"They're a good team," Dickinson said. "They're well-coached. They're playing hard. I'm happy to see them doing well."
