Iga Świątek of Poland defeated Paula Badosa of Spain 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday to clinch a spot for Poland in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

Świątek's dominance continues

Świątek, the world No. 1, extended her winning streak to 15 matches and improved her record in the Billie Jean King Cup to 11-0.

The 21-year-old has been in dominant form this season, winning six titles, including the French Open and US Open.

Badosa, ranked No. 4 in the world, was playing in her first Billie Jean King Cup tie.

The 24-year-old had a strong start to the match, breaking Świątek in the first game.

However, Świątek quickly recovered and won the next six games to take the first set.

Badosa broke Świątek again in the second set, but Świątek once again responded by winning the next five games to close out the match.

Poland will face a tough challenge in the Finals, as they will be competing against some of the best teams in the world, including the United States, Spain, and Australia.
