USC's Watkins Dominates in Rout

JuJu Watkins led the No. 3 USC women's basketball team to a resounding 124-39 victory over Cal State Northridge on Thursday night. Watkins, the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year, scored a game-high 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting and added eight rebounds and three assists.

Trojans Set Season High in Scoring

The Trojans' 124 points were their highest output of the season, and their 85-point margin of victory was their largest. USC shot 56.3% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range, while holding Cal State Northridge to just 28.6% shooting.

Balanced Scoring Effort

In addition to Watkins' outburst, four other Trojans scored in double figures. Freshman guard Rayah Marshall added 18 points, senior guard Destiny Littleton had 17 points, junior forward Kayla Overbeck scored 16 points, and junior center Emily Bessoir contributed 11 points.

Watkins Continues Stellar Start to Season

Watkins' performance continued her impressive start to the season. The 6-foot-3 forward is averaging 24.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game and has led USC to a 7-0 record.

Trojans Aim for National Title

With Watkins leading the way, the Trojans are considered one of the favorites to win the national championship this season. USC has won the Pac-12 Tournament the past two years and reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament last season.
