Kentucky Dominates Wofford in Season Opener

Cats Cruise to Easy Victory

The Kentucky Wildcats opened their 2024-25 season with a dominant 76-42 victory over the Wofford Terriers on Tuesday night at Rupp Arena. The Cats were led by Oscar Tshiebwe, who had 22 points and 16 rebounds. Antonio Reeves added 17 points, and Cason Wallace chipped in with 12 points.

The Wildcats took control of the game early and never looked back. They led by 10 points at halftime and extended their lead to 20 points in the second half. The Cats shot 50% from the field and held Wofford to just 33% shooting.

The Terriers were led by Messiah Jones, who had 12 points. No other Wofford player scored in double figures.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Duquesne Dukes. The game will tip off at 7 pm ET on ESPN.
