Jayhawks Hold on to No. 1 Despite Sloppy Play

The University of Kansas Jayhawks escaped Madison Square Garden with a 69-64 victory over the Michigan State Spartans on Tuesday night, but their performance left much to be desired.

Sophomore guard Remy Martin led the way for Kansas with 17 points, but he also had six turnovers.

Junior forward Jalen Wilson added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Jayhawks.

The Spartans were led by senior guard Tyson Walker, who scored 22 points.

The Jayhawks' victory was their second in as many games in the Champions Classic.

They defeated the Duke Blue Devils on Tuesday night.
