In an interview with "Face the Nation" on CBS, Panetta said that Trump's comments were "undermining the integrity of the intelligence community" and were "a threat to our national security."

Trump has repeatedly attacked the intelligence community, accusing them of leaking information and being biased against him.

Last week, Trump said that the intelligence community was "not my intelligence community" and that he had "lost confidence" in them.

Panetta said that Trump's comments were "dangerous" because they were "undermining the trust that the American people have in the intelligence community."

He said that the intelligence community is "a vital part of our national security apparatus" and that "we need to have confidence in the information that they provide us."

Panetta also said that Trump's comments were "irresponsible" because they were "giving comfort to our adversaries."

He said that "our adversaries are listening to what Trump is saying and they are taking advantage of it."

Panetta is not the only former intelligence official to criticize Trump's comments.

Former CIA Director John Brennan has also said that Trump's attacks on the intelligence community are "dangerous" and "unprecedented."

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has said that Trump's comments are "a threat to our national security."

The intelligence community has defended itself against Trump's attacks, saying that they are "professional" and "non-partisan."
