Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Available to play Tuesday
Lively missed the last 3 games due to a concussion
Lively has been cleared to play and is expected to start Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers
The Dallas Mavericks have been without rookie Dereck Lively for the last three games due to a concussion. Lively suffered the injury in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 25th. He was elbowed in the head by Lakers forward Anthony Davis and was forced to leave the game.
Lively has been cleared to play and is expected to start Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Mavericks are currently 27-25 and are in sixth place in the Western Conference. They are 1-2 in their last three games without Lively.
Lively has been a key player for the Mavericks this season. He is averaging 11.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He is also shooting 44.5% from the field and 38.1% from three-point range.
The Mavericks are hoping that Lively can help them turn things around and make a push for the playoffs. They are currently 3.5 games behind the fifth-place Phoenix Suns.
