Michael Duff calls on Huddersfield Town players to rise to the occasion of 'knockout' game
Terriers boss targeting victory at Cardiff City on Saturday as Town look to clamber up the Championship table
Huddersfield Town boss Michael Duff has called on his players to rise to the occasion when they head to Cardiff City on Saturday in a game he has described as a 'knockout' clash.
Town go into the weekend's game on the back of a 2-1 win over Blackpool at the John Smith's Stadium, which made it three wins in four games for the Terriers.
That victory has lifted Town up to 16th in the Championship table, and Duff is now looking for his side to build on that momentum and push further up the table.
Duff on Cardiff clash:
"It's a knockout game for us, really," said Duff.
"We need to win this game if we want to start climbing the table and challenging for the top six. We've got a good squad and we're capable of beating anyone in this league, so we just need to go out there and show it.
"We need to start picking up points away from home and if we can do that then it's going to put us in a really good position."
