MSU, Kansas Will Tip Off 2022-23 Season In Champions Classic
The Michigan State Spartans and Kansas Jayhawks will renew their rivalry in the Champions Classic on Nov. 15 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The Spartans and Jayhawks have met 14 times previously, with Kansas holding an 8-6 advantage. The two schools last met in the 2018 NCAA Tournament, with Kansas winning 90-70 in the Elite Eight.
The Champions Classic is an annual early-season college basketball tournament that features four of the top programs in the country. The other two teams in this year's tournament are the Duke Blue Devils and Kentucky Wildcats.
The Spartans are coming off a 23-13 season in which they finished fifth in the Big Ten Conference. The Jayhawks are coming off a 34-6 season in which they won the Big 12 Conference regular season and tournament championships and reached the Final Four.
The Champions Classic is one of the most prestigious events in college basketball. It is a great opportunity for the Spartans and Jayhawks to test themselves against some of the best teams in the country.
