‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’: World C’ship medalist Bidhuri hails PM’s push for 2036 Olympics bid

Grappler Seema Bisla hails India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to bid for the 2036 Olympics.

Indian wrestler Seema Bisla feels that the country’s sportspersons are fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi, who is working hard to promote sports and make India a global sporting powerhouse.

The 32-year-old wrestler from Haryana, who won a bronze medal in the 50kg category at the recently concluded World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, said that Modi's vision and commitment to sports is a major source of inspiration for all athletes.

"We are fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi who is so passionate about sports and is doing everything possible to make India a sporting powerhouse," Bisla said.

"His decision to bid for the 2036 Olympics is a testament to his commitment to sports and his belief in the potential of Indian athletes," she added.

Bisla's comments came after Modi announced India's bid to host the 2036 Olympics at the inaugural ceremony of the Khelo India Youth Games in Panchkula, Haryana.

The Prime Minister said that India has the potential to become a sporting superpower and hosting the Olympics would be a major step in that direction.

"We have the talent, the infrastructure, and the passion to host a successful Olympics," Modi said.

"I am confident that we can put on a show that will make the world proud," he added.

Bisla said that Modi's words have given her and her fellow wrestlers a renewed sense of confidence and motivation.

"His belief in us is a major source of inspiration for all of us," she said.

"We are determined to make his dream of India becoming a sporting superpower a reality," she added.
