Mott MacDonald consortium appointed as design development partner for transformative West Yorkshire Mass Transit Programme
Experts to drive forward plans for ambitious transport scheme
A consortium led by Mott MacDonald has been appointed by West Yorkshire Combined Authority to provide design development services for the ambitious West Yorkshire Mass Transit Programme.
The programme includes plans for a new mass transit system, connecting communities across West Yorkshire and providing a fast, reliable and sustainable transport network.
Mott MacDonald, in partnership with WSP, Arcadis, and Steer, will work closely with the Combined Authority to develop detailed designs for the new system, which will incorporate a range of transport modes including buses, trains and trams.
A transformative programme for West Yorkshire
The West Yorkshire Mass Transit Programme is a key part of the Combined Authority's long-term economic strategy for the region.
The programme is expected to create thousands of jobs during construction, boost the local economy, and improve air quality by reducing congestion.
