Oregon Men's Basketball: Nate Bittle's Stellar Performance Leads Ducks to Victory Over Montana

Ducks Secure Second Consecutive Win

The Oregon Ducks men's basketball team continued their winning ways on Monday night, defeating the Montana Grizzlies 84-58 at Matthew Knight Arena. The victory marked Oregon's second straight win and improved their record to 3-1 on the season.

Bittle Dominates the Paint

Center Nate Bittle was once again a force to be reckoned with for the Ducks, leading all scorers with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Bittle also grabbed 10 rebounds, marking his third double-double of the season.

Bittle's dominance in the paint was evident throughout the game. He used his size and strength to bully Montana's defenders, creating easy scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.

Balanced Scoring Effort

While Bittle led the way for Oregon, the Ducks received contributions from multiple players. Will Richardson added 15 points, while Jermaine Couisnard and Keeshawn Barthelemy each chipped in 11 points.

Oregon's balanced scoring attack made it difficult for Montana to focus on any one player, as the Ducks had multiple threats on the floor at all times.

Strong Defensive Performance

In addition to their offensive firepower, the Ducks also put forth a strong defensive effort against Montana. Oregon held the Grizzlies to just 37.5% shooting from the field and forced 15 turnovers.

Oregon's defense was particularly impressive in the second half, as they limited Montana to just 25 points after allowing 33 in the first half.

Looking Ahead

With the win over Montana, the Ducks are now 2-0 at home this season. They will look to continue their home winning streak on Friday night when they host the Seattle Redhawks at Matthew Knight Arena.

Oregon will then hit the road for a pair of games against top-25 opponents, facing No. 12 Michigan State on November 28th and No. 1 North Carolina on December 1st.
