Preview: Spain v Poland
An Iberian Duel for Group 2’s Supremacy
Spain
Spain, a European force in football, will be looking to continue their winning ways when they face Poland in their next Group 2 match. La Roja have won their last two matches, including a 4-0 victory over the Czech Republic in their most recent outing.
Spain’s attack will be led by the likes of Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, who have both been in excellent form this season. They will have plenty of creativity behind them, with Pedri and Gavi pulling the strings in midfield.
Poland
Poland will be no pushovers for Spain, however. The Poles have a strong team with plenty of quality throughout the pitch. They will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 to Russia in their last match.
Robert Lewandowski is the danger man for Poland, and he will be looking to add to his impressive tally of goals in international football. He will be supported by the likes of Piotr Zielinski and Arkadiusz Milik, who are both capable of causing problems for the Spanish defence.
Conclusion
This is a match that could go either way, but Spain will be the favourites given their recent form. Poland will need to be at their best to get anything from the game.
