Orange to Face Seven ACC Foes Ranked in Preseason Coaches Poll
Syracuse University Director of Athletics John Wildhack has announced the 2023-24 Syracuse women's basketball schedule, which features 17 home games, including matchups against eight teams that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago and seven ACC foes ranked in the preseason USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
The Orange will open the regular season with an exhibition contest against Le Moyne on Nov. 4 in the JMA Wireless Dome before officially opening the campaign on Nov. 11 against Colgate.
Syracuse will then host Bucknell and Siena before traveling to No. 20 Oregon on Nov. 27. The Orange will wrap up the month at home against Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 30.
The 20-game ACC schedule begins on Dec. 4 at Virginia Tech. Syracuse will host its ACC home opener against Pittsburgh on Dec. 11.
The Orange will face a pair of top-10 opponents at home in January, hosting No. 5 North Carolina on Jan. 8 and No. 9 Notre Dame on Jan. 29.
Syracuse will close out the regular season at home against Boston College on Feb. 25.
The 2023 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament will be held at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., from March 7-12.
The Orange return four starters and eight letterwinners from a team that finished 18-13 overall and 9-9 in ACC play in 2022-23.
Syracuse is led by All-ACC Second Team selection Dariauna Lewis, who averaged 16.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last season.
The Orange also welcome a talented recruiting class that includes three-star prospects Amaya Jackson, Sarah Strong and Ava Irvin.
