The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team is poised for a successful 2023-24 season with a roster that features a blend of experience and talent.
The Orange return three starters from last year’s team that finished 22-10 overall and 11-7 in the ACC, including All-ACC Second Team selection Amaya Finklea-Guity.

Syracuse Adds Talented Newcomers to the Roster
In addition to their returning players, the Orange have added several talented newcomers to the roster, including transfers Teisha Hyman from Duke and Chrislyn Carr from Rutgers.
Hyman, a 6-foot-2 forward, was a key contributor for Duke last season, averaging 8.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Carr, a 5-foot-11 guard, brings experience and leadership to the backcourt after starting 28 games for Rutgers last season.

The Orange have a deep and versatile roster that should allow them to compete in the ACC and make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
With a talented frontcourt led by Finklea-Guity, Strong, and Hyman, and an experienced backcourt featuring Lewis and Carr, Syracuse has a good mix of size, athleticism, and skill.
The Orange also have several players who can contribute off the bench, including 6-foot-5 center Kyra Wood and sharpshooter Ava Irvin.
