Trail Blazers Guard Injured, Leaves Game Against Timberwolves
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard left Monday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with an apparent right calf injury.
Lillard was injured with 4:08 remaining in the second quarter and did not return. He was seen limping off the court and was later ruled out for the rest of the game.
The Blazers went on to lose the game 113-106. There was no immediate update on the severity of Lillard's injury.
Lillard is averaging 29.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game this season. He is one of the most popular and recognizable players in the NBA.
The Blazers are now 29-30 this season and are in ninth place in the Western Conference.
