UK, Germany promise more military support to Ukraine
London and Berlin pledge to send more weapons and training to Kyiv
The United Kingdom and Germany have pledged to send more military support to Ukraine, including weapons and training, as the country continues to fight against Russian invasion.
In a joint statement, the two countries said they would provide Ukraine with "lethal and non-lethal military equipment", as well as training for its armed forces.
The statement did not specify what type of weapons would be sent, but it is likely to include anti-tank missiles, air defense systems, and other equipment that Ukraine has been requesting.
The UK and Germany are among the largest supporters of Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in February.
The UK has already provided Ukraine with over £1 billion in military aid, including anti-tank missiles, air defense systems, and armored vehicles.
Germany has also provided Ukraine with military aid, including anti-tank weapons, machine guns, and armored vehicles.
The new pledge of support from the UK and Germany is a sign that the two countries are committed to helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.
