UNT women's basketball team to face Oregon in rare showdown with ranked team Tuesday
Denton, Texas (11/28/2022) - The UNT Mean Green women's basketball team will face off against the No. 13-ranked Oregon Ducks on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon.
This will be the first time the Mean Green have faced a ranked opponent since the 2019-20 season.
The Mean Green are coming off a 72-66 win over Abilene Christian on Sunday, Nov. 27, in their season opener.
Oregon is 4-0 on the season after defeating Portland 80-52 on Sunday, Nov. 27.
Oregon is led by senior guard Te-Hina Paopao, who is averaging 19.3 points per game. Junior forward Sedona Prince is also averaging a double-double with 16.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
The Mean Green are led by junior guard Jada McMillian, who is averaging 17.0 points per game.
UNT will be looking to make a statement against the Ducks, who are one of the top teams in the Pac-12 Conference.
The game will be televised on Pac-12 Network.
