The Gunners put on a dominant display in their UWCL opener

Arsenal made a winning start to their UEFA Women's Champions League campaign with a 4-0 victory over Ajax at Meadow Park on Thursday.

Goals from Frida Maanum, Stina Blackstenius, Katie McCabe, and Lina Hurtig secured a comfortable victory for Jonas Eidevall's side.

Arsenal were in control from the start and took the lead after just 17 minutes when Maanum fired home from close range.

Blackstenius then doubled the lead just after the half-hour mark, heading in from a corner.

McCabe made it 3-0 just before half-time, curling a superb effort into the top corner.

Hurtig completed the scoring in the second half, tapping in from close range after good work from McCabe

Arsenal will now turn their attention to Sunday's WSL clash against Brighton.
