John Krasinski Named People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt, and former castmates from 'The Office' congratulate him on the honor

The actor is known for his roles in 'The Office,' 'A Quiet Place,' and 'Jack Ryan'

John Krasinski has been named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2022.

The actor and director, who is married to Emily Blunt, was surprised and honored by the recognition.

"I'm so grateful to People for this incredible honor," Krasinski said in a statement. "I'm not sure I'm worthy, but I'm certainly going to enjoy the title while it lasts."

Krasinski is best known for his role as Jim Halpert in the NBC sitcom "The Office." He has also starred in the films "A Quiet Place," "Jack Ryan," and "The Hollars."

Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt, took to Instagram to congratulate her husband on the honor.

"Congratulations to the sexiest man alive! I mean, I already knew that, but now it's official!" Blunt wrote.

Krasinski's former castmates from "The Office" also congratulated him on the honor.

"John Krasinski is the sexiest man alive? No way! I've known that for years!" said Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott on "The Office."

"John Krasinski is the sexiest man alive? Well, I'll be damned!" said Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight Schrute on "The Office."

Krasinski is the third "Office" alum to be named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive." George Clooney was named the sexiest man alive in 1997, and Idris Elba was named the sexiest man alive in 2018.
