Women's Basketball Readies for Road Trip to Syracuse
Orange Set to Face No. 12/13 Syracuse in ACC Matchup
The Syracuse Orange will welcome the Boston College Eagles to the Carrier Dome on Wednesday, February 15th, for a highly anticipated ACC showdown. The Orange, currently ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll and No. 13 in the Coaches Poll, will look to continue their recent success against the Eagles, whom they have defeated in four of their last five meetings.
Boston College Seeking Upset in Rematch
The Eagles, who enter the game with a 12-11 overall record and a 4-8 mark in ACC play, will be looking to avenge their 84-55 loss to Syracuse in Chestnut Hill earlier this season.
Despite their struggles in conference play, Boston College has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, including a narrow loss to No. 10 Notre Dame and a victory over Wake Forest.
The Eagles will need to play their best game of the season if they hope to pull off the upset in Syracuse.
Syracuse Aiming to Extend Winning Streak, Improve Tournament Positioning
The Orange, meanwhile, will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games and improve their positioning in the ACC standings with a victory over Boston College.
Syracuse is currently tied for fourth place in the conference with a 10-4 record, and a win over the Eagles would give them a valuable tiebreaker heading into the ACC Tournament.
Senior guard Tiana Mangakahia, who is averaging 18.4 points and 8.8 assists per game, will be the key for the Orange on Wednesday night.
If she can control the tempo of the game and get her teammates involved, Syracuse will be tough to beat.
